The Kirkstone Pass is currently closed. Access to Pooley Bridge from Windermere is now via Keswick.

We require credit card details when you book our fully-flex rate but only to secure your booking. We do not ask for full payment up front. Payment for your stay and any extras you have taken whilst you are with us will be required when you check out and not before.

Yes – whilst we really hope that you won’t need to cancel your booking, on our fully-flexible rate, as long as you cancel your booking before 10:00am on the day before you’re due to arrive, there will be no charge. If you do need to cancel simply give us a call on 01768 425869

Bookings cancelled after 10:00am on the day before you’re due to arrive will be charged for the first night’s stay. No Shows will be charged for the first night’s stay.

We don’t have our own car park at the Crown Inn but there are 3 public car parks in the village, all within short walking distance of the Crown Inn (please note that charges apply for these facilities). If you have large luggage please feel free to pull up outside our inn and drop your luggage off and one of our team members can then direct you to one of the public car parks nearby. 

No we take a credit card to guarantee reservations and our cancellation policy then applies.

Yes, we have a limited supply and there is no charge, please let us know if you need either when you book so we can make sure they are in your room ready for arrival.

The bar opens from 11.00am to 11.00pm every day.

Charged at £20.00 per room (will be added to your bill on check-in), per stay some of our rooms include a cushion and water bowl for your four-legged friend too – so your dog can enjoy a relaxing break in The Lakes with you. Just let us know when you book your stay and we’ll do our best to accommodate – in fact, just let us know if there’s anything we can do at all as we’re passionate about doing everything we can to make your stay memorable. We’ll donate 10% of this to the Lake District Search and Rescue Dogs Association.

We do have one guest room that is accessible at ground floor level, however the remainder of the rooms are up at least one flight of stairs.
